Club Spank is the latest addition to the South East’s kink scene. After attending their inaugural event last year, and experiencing a friendly, fun and sexy evening, we were excited to hear they have another Brighton event planned for Friday 1st March.
The event is suited to fetish newbies and scene regulars alike. Rather than the pumping house music much favoured by fetish clubs, Club Spank has an eclectic playlist that’s as suited to mingling and chatting as dancing.
Dressing up is compulsory but home-made outfits are just as welcome as expensive fetish-wear – and the creativity of some of the guests adds to the friendly vibe. Stuck for an idea? The site suggests you, “Celebrate the sartorial wonders of fetish, fantasy and kink, skin art, gothic glam, twisted burlesque, steampunk amd drag. We encourage you to ‘be a different person’ for the night by transforming yourself through an outfit. Why not try something new and embrace uniform (medical, military or any other), body paint, cabaret, cyberwear, lingerie or even completely OTT dinner dress (top hat and tails, monocle optional!).”
Don’t expect anything extreme or gory: instead, Club Spank attracts a friendly, flirtatious and respectful crowd who are there to have fun – and maybe play in the dungeon. Describing itself as a ‘fluffy fetish’ night, the house rules are designed to keep everyone safe, and there are plenty of people around who are more than happy to help guide you through your kinky journey if you’re new to the scene. As the site says, “Spank is a fetish dress-up event, not a sex party – so no on-premises sex or nudity please. But of course you’re quite likely to meet play partners there, and you can always invite them home for naughtiness afterwards!”
