Skribita is an on-going series of Brighton-based workshops, residential weekends and events where writers share their craft, offer advice and reveal tricks of the trade. It’s the brainchild of scriptwriter/lecturer Sue Teddern and her partner, events organiser/lecturer Edward Crask – and on Saturday March 16th, they’re focussing on erotic writing, with Cliterati founder Emily Dubberley and best-selling erotic author, Susannah Quinn.
Whether you want to write the next Fifty Shades or explore the more intimate side of your craft, this workshop is for you. You’ll learn how to get over your embarrassment, structure a story or novel and avoid the common mistakes that new erotic writers often make.
In addition to founding Cliterati, Emily was founding editor of Scarlet magazine, has had short stories featured in numerous erotica anthologies, including G is for Games and Ultimate Submission and wrote erotic novella True Passion for Ann Summers.
