Brighton is well known for it’s accommodation of all manner of ‘perversions’ but the latest kink controversy to hit the local newspaper is Brighton’s first kinky wedding fair entitled ‘Quaint Queer Weird’. Organised by Lesley Taylor and being held at Proud Cabaret (formerly the Hanbury Ballroom) the event promises a wide range of the expected wedding provisions but with a distinct twist.

If you want to celebrate your nuptials in your own unique style and need some inspiration there is a wealth of naughty but nice offerings for your indulgence. Wedding planners, bridal designers, photographers, stationers, cake makers and milliners all feature their own unique work…and that is one of the reasons it is such a revelation compared to the saturated mass market fodder most wedding fairs fess up.

With a strapline like Bygone to Bondage this fair should appeal to anyone who is looking for more than the average wedding affair, Lesley is proud of the breadth of offerings she has in store, “I’m especially excited about Jed Phoenix, Death and Glory Taxidermy and Louise McKay Harnesses being involved. Am Statik is going to be unveiling her Latex wedding dress which she has especially designed too. Hourly catwalks, fetish walk around’s and entertainment from the beautiful Bruise Violet, sassy Dawn Gracie and infamous Joe Black”
