I recently went on to Lovehoney site and decided to order some goodies for my pleasure. When given the opportunity to have my goodies sent to another address,I thought that as I am hardly around when the post arrives,I would have it delivered next door to a roofing contractors, whose office is kind enough to take my post in for me.Got you thinking have I?
A couple of days or so after, I arrived home from work to find a small parcel on my doorstep.It reminded me that I should check to see if my goodies had arrived next door yet.
The chap was just leaving, having locked up,but kindly offered to open up for me.
Looking around the office I saw two enormous boxes, which were already opened. 'No, they can't be mine' I said.Then there was a smaller one which hadn't been opened. 'That'll be it' I said.
To my horror I found that the address label and delivery note 'had' been opened. Lovehoney had addressed it to them without my name as c/o, and guess what the office lady would have seen:-

Just imagine how I felt. I practically ran out of the yard.
I won't be showing my face round there for quite a while.
So let that be a lesson for anyone thinking of doing the same, especially if you live in a village, like me. Have your goodies sent to your OWN address, even if it means a boring trip to the Royal Mail Depot.
