The warm hills.
  | | |

I glanced and glanced again at this summit I would never conquer. The ascension seemed easy. More of a stroll on a smooth terrain. I am tempted to linger here. But I am pushed by instincts. The climb soon became steeper, the ground rockier.

As I reached the darker territories, I laid eyes on what I could have missed. The risky area, unstable and uneven, warmer than I imagined. My feeble breath was taken away by the view. Beauty filled the land, glowed and flowed around it.

I could see other challenges on the horizon. Although, for a while, I stayed. I had been made to come here again. On this path I knew so well. Released from their cotton prison. The warm hills were not controlled, only dormant. They had forced a peace in me. The one thing I wanted to fight for.
