The 'it'll never happen to me' attitude just isn't good enough

I had my drink spiked (with rohypnol - the date-rape drug) on Friday night when I was out with my partner and a group of friends at The Wellington Club in Knightsbridge . One minute I was fine, talking to a friend, the next I was tottering around, feeling really ill and bouncing off the walls to get to the loo where it took all my strength and will power not to pass out.

I knew straight away that something wasn't right. I'd only had a couple of glasses of wine, and a couple of glasses of champagne all night, and I managed to drag myself back into the main club area to find my partner and tell him we had to leave.
He had to literally carry me up the stairs and out of the club and into a taxi. I threw up on the way home, and can't remember anything after getting back - apparently I was really aggressive, shouting and fighting and he made me have a cold shower before I totally passed out on the bed (I have no recollection of this).
The next morning I felt sick, with slight hallucinations, very dazed and incredibly drained.
Looking back, I can remember a weird, dark-haired bloke sitting on my left trying to talk to us, we pretty much ignored him - but my friend and I both thought he was a bit odd, and didn't pay much attention.
The club to give them credit, have been great so far. The frightening thing is that this is the third time it has happened there - so they are trying to work out who it is.
However, they seem to think that it's someone who's doing it for fun - rather than for more sinister reasons (which is a slight concern), but they are taking the situation very seriously.
Often the bloke who spikes your drink, waits outside the loo for you to emerge, dazed and disorientated, feeling dreadful and wanting to go home, verging on unconsciousness then escorts you out of the club, saying he'll make sure you get home okay - club security is usually glad to see the back of anyone who appears out of control / drunk... then you pass out, not being able to remember anything that's happened.
A friend I spoke with was spiked at China White once. She ended up in hospital, having been given a cocktail of drugs in her champagne, and had 2nd degree burns down her throat because the mixture contained Floor Cleaner !?!?! - she had to eat baby food for 2 months afterwards.
WATCH YOUR DRINK - all the time, and don't trust people you don't know well not to give you something you don't want.
