Event Reviews: Anonymous - The Cake Masquerade Ball

As fans of the Cake concept, which is about providing women with fun, sexy and educational events, we were first in the queue to get our tickets to their most recent event. The invitation was specific about what to wear; lingerie or black - and a mask. Feeling a little 'Eyes Wide Shut', we got ready for the evening.

Have you got the Perfect Alibi?

‘Everyone assumes that PAs must stand for Personal Assistants.’ She'd laughed and blown out a long stream of smoke. ‘All except the clients, of course.’‘And what is it really?’ Stephanie had asked, feeling as if she were caught up in a dangerous but heady adventure.
‘PAs’, said Madeleine, mouth curved into a seductive smile, voice low and slow as syrup, ‘is a discreet service for the chronically unfaithful.’ Her smile had widened at the expression on Stephanie’s face. ‘PAs stands for Perfect Alibis.’”

Sex toy reviews: The Honey Bee

The Honey Bee is a surprising toy. When it first arrived, frankly, I was scared. And amused. God, does this thing look odd. It's got dual vibrators for the vagina and clitoris (shaped like a bee - what is it with sex toys and animal shapes?) plus an anal toy that's frankly, huge. It's also got nasty cheap looking straps to fit around your thighs.

Sex Toy Reviews: The Tongue Joy

You might have seen this in Cosmopolitan magazine where is was 'Sex Toy Of The Month' or the TV show 'Sex Tips for Girls'. The basic premise of this toy is that oral sex is great but the Tongue Joy can make it even better.

Sex Toy Reviews: Eros Bulb Dildo

The Eros Bulb Dildo is a cheery looking item. The bright red vinyl toy has a tapered tip and curvaceous shaft, just right for lots of thrills. Even better, the flared base has flattened 'balls' so you can thrust it all the way up without worring that it will slide right inside you and stay there.

  Best Fetish

Cara Bruce's newest anthology Best Fetish Erotica surprisingly actually lives up to the "Best of" claim. One glance at the contributors and you'll know why: she doesn't just have the same old erotic writers - she has an eclectic mix of some of the best writers of any genre. JT Leroy, Jerry Stahl and Rachel Resnick are just a few of the literary stars included. Susie Bright, Marcy Sheiner and Alison Tyler round out the erotica side.

Book Reviews: Mouth Music Made Easy by Harry and Caddie Youngberry

Is your bloke crap at giving head? Maybe he's good but you'd like him to be that little it better? If you want oral satisfaction then this is the book to buy.

Sex toy reviews: Pjur Eros Fun Foam

Lube is always a good thing to have around. Whether you're using it to make masturbation easier (with or without a toy), adding some spice to a hand job or helping ease the way for sex or anal sex, it always comes in useful. So when Eros sent us some of their 'Fun Foam' water-based lube to try, we were happy to oblige.

  The Martinet

M. S. Valentine returns with the release of "The Martinet" from Chimera Books. From this best-selling erotic author comes an all-new tale of intrigue told in true M. S. Valentine form. "The Martinet" is the story of those who by some act of folly become enslaved as a form of punishment by the masked figure known only as The Martinet.

  Books at Playboy Mansion?

The newest addition at the Playboy Mansion of course is risqué but classy. It’s not another Playmate, it’s Erika Barr’s newest thriller “Acquisition of Power”!

  Film reviews: Artemesia

The first thing that springs to mind when Artemesia starts is how pretty it looks. Set in an Italianate village, it starts at a painting class full of toga'd male and female models. The title character Artemesia (dressed in a very flattering wanton wench outfit) asks to paint the naked models and is reprimanded - verbally rather than physically - by the tutor. Doesn't she realise that women can't paint the naked form? It's illegal. She pretends to go back to her room but secretly hides, making eyes at the rather attractive male models.

Film reviews: Ancient Secrets of the Kama Sutra

The Ancient Secrets of the Kama Sutra attempts to bring the classic book to life. A young couple go into a library and ask the librarian for a book about sex. She opens the Kama Sutra and they fall into a magical world where the various positions in the book are lived out before their eyes. The librarian is transformed into a beautiful harem girl, leading them through the alternative world.

Events: The Rubber Ball aftershow party

The Rubber Ball weekend is now the biggest event in the 'fetish' calendar. Initially existing as just a Hallowe'en Rubber Ball, a few years ago the organisers decided to build a whole weekend around it, incorporating a chance to shop at the Skin Two expo, as well as attend a host of other fetish club events running over the four days. This has been a great success, and several thousand people now take part in one or more of the weekend's activities.

A wild time at Skin Two Expo

As a novice the the fetish scene, other than having watched a few TV programmes about it, I didn't know quite what to expect from the Skin Two Expo. Visions of whipping posts, scary people and a generally sexually charged environment sprang to mind. Other than the latter, I couldn't have been more wrong.

  Film reviews: Bad Wives

Dyanna Lauren and Melissa Hill pick up more than what's on their shopping list after running into bag-boy Steven St. Croix at the local supermarket.

Sex Toy Reviews: The Micro Dolphin

The Micro dolphin certainly doesn't look like a normal toy. I eyed it with trepidation when it arrived. This four inch long dolphin shaped toy resembles nothing more than a dolphin-shaped wind up toy of the type that swim merrily along aside you in the bath. The fins worried me slightly - surely small wing shaped plastic protruberances are not condusive to a comfortable session of self love? But, nothing ventured, nothing gained, I gave it a go.

Book review: 302 advanced techniques for driving a man wild in bed

302 advanced techniques for driving a man wild in bed by Olivia St Claire aims to help you leave your man 'breathless at your newfound prowess'. If taken with a hefty dose of salt, then it may well do. It could equally easily leave him breathless with hilarity.

Sex toy reviews: G Spot Massager

Sleek, yes, elegant, yes, quiet, yes and a lovely shiny colour BUT calling something a 'noduled probe' has the passion killing effect of waving a wet kipper in front of your face, and the wart-like nodules were just not a great feature.

The Good Girl's Guide to Bad Girl Sex by Barbara Keesling

Written by acclaimed sex therapist and ex-sexual surrogate Barbara Keesling, The Good Girl's Guide to Bad Girl Sex is a great sexual self-help book for women who want to be that little bit 'badder'. I'm not normally a huge fan of self help books but this one was suitably common-sense and lacking in Americanisms to keep me hooked throughout.

Book Review: Lust Under Leo by Maria Lyonnesse

Jenna is pleased to be invited away for the weekend by her boss, Nick. She's been having an affair with him and is desperate for them to get a decent amount of time together. However, it's Nick's birthday and he's got a very special party planned. Not only will all the guests be in costume; they'll also include Nick's wife and sister.
